The New York Bobcats, proud member of the Eastern Hockey League, are proud to announce that the club has signed defenseman Kaan Salt to the 2017-18 roster.
Salt, โ99, joins the Bobcats and Royals origination after spending most his career over in Turkey, playing at the junior level, and more recently in the WSHL.
“Kaan is a prospect that we had our eye one for quite some time,โ Bobcats general manager, John Zerillo said. โHe has competed at very high levels in international play and that experience he gained can help our club.”
The five-foot-seven blueliner represented Turkey at the Word Junior Championships, winning the Gold Medal last year in Davison III. This past season, Salt dressed in 40 games for the Cheyenne Stampede (WSHL) and registered eight points.
โKaan adds that style we are looking for in a defenseman,โ Zerillo added. โWe are really excited, as a staff, on how our roster is shaping up.”
